Dr. Ethan Kizziar completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon in 2019 and received a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology. He then moved to Chicago, IL and worked at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab for two years where he assisted with clinical trials investigating novel treatments for cervical spinal cord injuries. He also worked with veterans at the Hines, IL VA Hospital investigating the effects of intermittent hypoxia on upper extremity function after SCI. He is fortunate to be published for his work in the journal: Annals of Neurology.
After developing a passion for rehabilitation and strong patient relationships, Dr. Ethan continued his education at Northwestern University’s doctorate of physical therapy program in downtown Chicago. There he completed four clinical rotations which included internships in Level 1 trauma centers, orthopedic physical therapy, weight loss coaching, and pediatric inpatient rehabilitation. He is particularly passionate in treating patients with vestibular, cervical spine, and low back pathologies.
Dr. Ethan strives to provide evidence-based care that includes the patient every step of the way. He believes in treating all patients as individuals with unique backgrounds, injuries, and stages of rehabilitation. His favorite quote is: “If you have a body, you are an athlete.” – Bill Bowerman
In his free time Dr. Ethan enjoys hiking, skiing, practicing his Spanish, weight lifting, and attempting to surf.
